| | | | Dear Adoray Volunteers, As summer arrives in full bloom, things are certainly heating up here at Adoray — and not just because of the weather! June has already been a month filled with purpose, celebration, and community, and I couldn’t let it pass without sharing just how much your ongoing support means to us. We kicked off the month with a huge milestone: 20 of our care team members graduated from Dementia Champion Training, and we proudly hosted our 2nd Annual Dementia Caregivers Conference. These events are part of our continued commitment to ensuring that every individual living with dementia — and every caregiver supporting them — feels seen, supported, and never alone. Your dedication, presence, and the roles you play in supporting this mission help bring these initiatives to life in the most meaningful ways. A special THANK YOU to all our volunteers who took part in the our Annual Dementia Caregivers Conference, your dedication to expanding your knowledge and tools to better support our patients with dementia is truly inspiring! | | | We also celebrated National CNA Week, shining a light on the compassionate caregivers who serve at the very heart of our mission. Their work touches lives daily, and just like all of you, they embody what Compassion in Action and Integrity in Care truly mean. | | | Another exciting moment this month was the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of our new Treasures from the Heart store in downtown Menomonie. The turnout, community support, and joy shared at that event were absolutely heartwarming. This beautiful space represents more than a store — it’s a reflection of community giving back, and it exists because of the generous donations, shoppers, and especially volunteers like you who keep it running with love. Welcome to the Adoray family, all our new Menomonie Volunteers, we are so happy to have you part of our circle of care. | | | | | And of course, one of my favorite parts of the month so far was getting to spend time with some of you at our Volunteer Picnic. Being able to gather, laugh, and share a meal together is such a gift. In moments like those, I’m reminded once again that our volunteers aren’t just part of our team — you are truly part of the Adoray family. Each of you, whether you serve through companionship visits, crafting blankets, helping families at Treasures, or anything in between — you bring light into the lives of others. Your compassion, time, and presence are woven into the very heart of Adoray’s mission. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for all the ways, big and small, that you show up for others. We cherish you, and we are so grateful to walk this journey of care, community, and purpose with you. When the Adoray team learned their 70th anniversary was approaching, they planned a surprise celebration before Janice’s illness progressed. The couple was overwhelmed with joy as their children and grandchildren gathered to celebrate their love. With live music, cake, flowers, balloons—and a heartfelt dance shared by the couple—it was a moment their family will remember forever. When asked their secret to lasting love, they smiled and said, “Respect each other!” | | | A special THANK YOU to Barbara Hill our incredibly talented Hospice Volunteer for making this extra special with live music for the couple. | | | | | | | | Adoray was honored to participate in the Menomonie Flag Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial, located right in front of the New Menomonie Treasures from the Heart store. As a Level 4 We Honor Veterans agency, being part of this event was more than an honor — it was a meaningful way to live out our mission. We were proud to present Adoray Caregiver pins and patriotic mini quilts to the families of the seven Veterans honored this year. These keepsakes were deeply appreciated and served as a tangible reminder that a Veteran’s service, and their family’s sacrifice, is never forgotten. | | | | | | We are pleased to announce the 8th Annual Hands for Hospice Golf Outing on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the beautiful Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, WI. It's ever-changing, day in and day out. Being not very tech-savvy myself, there are certainly moments of frustration. However, I must admit that it's wonderful to be able to type out a question or satisfy curiosity with just a few keystrokes in a search engine and receive abundant information in mere seconds. Recently, in one of my reflective moments, I explored more about June, the month we're in right now. June marks the halfway point of the calendar year. For some, it's astonishing how swiftly time flies, while others might feel that it's just June. There are numerous events and remembrances to acknowledge in June. What particularly caught my attention was that June is National Safety Month, Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month, National PTSD Awareness Month, and National Migraine and Headache Awareness Month. When I encounter these reminders, it prompts me to think about not just those close to me, but also my coworkers, volunteers, and acquaintances I meet in everyday life who might be experiencing challenges or life's bumps related to these topics. It's a poignant reminder that, on this path of life, none of us are alone, and even the smallest act of kindness can make a significant impact and is never unnoticed. Our volunteer group has been increasing, offering ample opportunities to engage. We've enhanced our resources for dementia care, gathered for our appreciation lunch to honor those making a difference, and recognized each volunteer for their tireless dedication to our hospice patients' lives. With our census expanding, each of you has taken the initiative to reach out to more patients, providing companionship and kindness to those who need it most. Though only halfway through the year, our accomplishments are notable. In April, your dedication led to 164 visits and over 107 hours of service, contributing to a total of more than 633 visits and approximately 457 hours of service in the first four months. incredible! Once again, I was reminded today that “service to humanity is the best work of life,” reinforcing the importance of helping others and making a positive impact on the world through the selfless service each of you provides. Thank you. | | Martina😊 Hospice Volunteer Manager | | | | Why do I volunteer for Hospice? Thank you one and all! | | | | | | | | | As the new manager of Treasures from the Heart Baldwin, I want to take a moment to share just how grateful I am for every one of the volunteers here at our little thrift store. I see the care you put into tagging items, steaming clothing, tidying displays, and greeting our customers with kindness and patience. Your dedication, day after day, is what truly gives our store its heart — and I can’t thank you enough. Because of you, we’re more than just a thrift store. We’re a warm, welcoming space where people feel at home — and that’s something special. As we continue to grow and receive more donations and foot traffic, I do want to share that we could use a few more helping hands. If you have a bit of extra time — or know someone who might — we’re especially looking for volunteers to assist with tagging donations and cashiering. These roles are vital to keeping things running smoothly and ensuring we can continue to serve our community well. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this wonderful organization. Your time, energy, and big hearts don’t go unnoticed — they are truly the backbone of all we do. | | | | | Virtual Suggestion Box Do you have ideas on how to make Adoray a better place to work and care for patients?
