Based on your valuable feedback, we have decided to separate the volunteer and employee parties to better accommodate everyone. We understand that January can be too cold, too late at night, and many of you are away during this time. To ensure a more comfortable and convenient celebration, we are excited to announce that the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon will return to being held in April. This change will allow more of you to attend and enjoy the event in a warmer, more pleasant setting. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you in the spring. The holidays are a time of joy but also can be a reminder of those we are missing. No matter how long it has been since our loved one has passed, Adoray recognizes that though time passes, love lives on. Adoray wants to continue to honor the names of those who have lit up our lives through its annual Love Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The Ceremony offers a chance to come together, share in the comfort of community, and celebrate the lives that deeply touched ours. The event will include reading of the names, a message from our Bereavement staff, and the lighting of the Love Lights Tree. Light refreshments will be provided.
For each $15 donation, Adoray will place an ornament with your loved one’s name on the Love Lights Tree (located in the Gazebo at Bailey Park in Baldwin, WI) and add the name of the person you wish to remember on the memorial board. The memorial board will be displayed at our Treasures from the Heart Thrift Store in Baldwin through the month of December.

To ensure proper acknowledgment, please complete entire form and return by December 2nd to be recognized during the Tree Lighting Ceremony. | | | | | | | | | |  | On the 11th hour…of the 11th day…of the 11th month…the fighting of World War I ended in 1918. Due to the conclusion of “the War to end all Wars,” November 11th became a universally recognized day of celebration. The day was originally declared “Armistice Day” 8 years after the end of World War I and honored only veterans of that war. Then in 1954, after World War II and the Korean War, it was renamed “Veterans’ Day” to honor all veterans who served America in war and defended democracy. | | | | For 29 years, Adoray has been dedicated to honoring our Veterans and providing compassionate end-of-life care. We are proud to be a Level 4 We Honor Veterans member, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), reflecting our deep commitment to serving those who have served our country. Through the We Honor Veterans program, Adoray has recognized hundreds of Veterans patients with Recognition Ceremonies and continues to serve all our Veteran Patients with respect, integrity and dignity. We are honored to provide care services not only to veterans but also to others who need extra help at the end of their journey. Our volunteer program plays a vital role in this mission by providing companionship services, not just to our veterans but to all those we serve through Adoray. I also want to thank our Veteran volunteers – Hospice and Store Volunteers. Your sacrifice and service do not go unnoticed. Just like our patients, you have sacrificed a lot. And so has your family. 💜 Adoray's Treasures from the Heart - Baldwin | | | |  | | | | | | |  | This month's Volunteer spotlight is Debbie Veenendal We recognize and Thank Debbie Veenendal as our November Volunteer spotlight. Debbie grew up in Hammand, attended St Croix Central, and now lives in Baldwin. Debbie loves spending time with her children and grandchildren and also loves going to their camper with her husband during the summer. Debbie wears many hats as a Volunteer. Debbie is versatile and instrumental in helping process donations, drying, hanging, and filling the floor with clothes. Debbie also sorts and prices toys, games, and puzzles. If that's not enough, Debbie is also very talented in creating beautiful floor displays. We are truly blessed with all Debbie's talents. Debbie Volunteered to hand out candy for Halloween, little did we know it would be brutally COLD & BLOWING SNOW & RAINY that day. Debbie bundled up was a trooper, even when we offered her an out of doing it, her reply was, "but who will do it then"? Thank You Debbie for braving the cold, and everything else you do to help. | | | | | | | |  | Congratulations!!!

As our census grows - so do our requests for Volunteers from our patients and families. We are in need of more Hospice Volunteers. If you know anyone who would be interested in sharing their gifts and time to help care for our community.
Please have them contact Martina. We are also in need of cashiers at our Baldwin and River Falls stores.
2 person teams would be great! We are hoping to find two friends or family members to come 1 afternoon a month or every other week and share a shift cashiering together! What a Great way to meet people and spend time with your friend or family member while giving back to your community! If you know of anyone who would like to Volunteer at one of our wonderful Treasures from the Heart stores.
